Hôtel Uville Montréal

Our 2nd stay. Great staff, fairly priced, excellent location. Decor is great - each floor has a theme of Quebec's progress through the 2nd half of the 20th century. Handy arrangement with a local parking lot and free tea and drip coffee at the café. The breakfast option is simple - a croissant or pain au chocolat, juice, and cheese. Tasty unless you are looking for fewer carbs and more protein. Our favorite boutique hotel in Montreal. We'll be back.

I stumbled upon a real gem for my layover back from London. This hotel is so thoughtfully designed, with a vintage vibe that doesn't sacrifice comfort. Between the cozy atmosphere and the perfect location, it made my transit much more enjoyable.

This is a gem of a Hotel.The location was prefect. First the room was clean, great shower. And I really liked the flooring, no carpeting. What to expect , the sink/basin is separate from the shower/toilet room . Very comfortable bed and linens. Charging ports on each side of the bed, and a good mini fridge. There is also a breakfast tray to use.There only thing is that there is no full length mirror.Breakfast is simple ,but we really enjoyed it. There is a coffee maker in the room. You can bring your basket down to the cafe and have espresso or a pot of tea with it as well.The cafe made great coffee drinks and had lovely wine as well.The hotel is a living museum, which I didn't fully grasp when I booked it. Every room has different photographs , and every floor has a different focus. It explains the early history of Montreal and ends with the Expo of 1967. There are loads of documentary's ,slide shows you can watch in your room. We loved learning about the "Quiet Revolution ". We walked to restaurants, took in old Montreal , and had an amazing time. What a beautiful city and people.

Comfortable beds, nice interior. Room provided some history about World Fair in 1967 in Montreal. What a pleasure was to listen some old vinyl. Mireille Mathieu never disappoints. The service is friendly and morning breakfast basket was a treat in the room, great way to start a busy day. The location is unbeatable!

My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at Hotel Uville. The hotel was beautifully decorated and our room was cozy, quiet and had everything we needed. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the complimentary light breakfast and enjoyed spending time in the morning in the bar area. The hotel is in good location in walking distance to all of old Montreal as well as the metro station. There is no on site parking but we were able to find parking nearby for $36 CAD a day. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in this neighborhood. Also the hot chocolate was AMAZING don't skip it!

This place is a gem, it's located near the old Port at old Montreal which is a prime location if you intend to walk around the area. It's very quiet and beautiful area, and very safe I find. The service is impeccable here, the staff here are all very friendly and welcoming and whatever issues we may have brought up to them was handled with lots of care and attention. They care about your time at the Hotel Uville and I can see it. They went above and beyond in fixing any issues we may have and provide a service I don't see most hotels have. I am stickler for clean hotel rooms as I believe that most hotels will never be as clean as my home, however this hotel is very clean and the rooms are very well maintained. No dust in the ducts or picture frames, very clean floors and ammenities. I would recommend anyone to come here as it is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. They serve you breakfast every morning via room delivery. It comes with usually a baked good (they have gluten free options too) and juice. It's a nice little touch to the hotel. They have very unique rooms where it is filled with heritage and history of Montreal, each floor features a different era in Montreal and it's themed differently each floor. The staff here made me feel like I am their only guest and provide top of the class service.

I've spent some time in hotel rooms (including a multi-week stay in a fleabag joint in Nowhere, Arizona when I was a teenager, about which the less said the better) and I try to be as measured as I can whenever I submit a review like this, so I say this very sincerely: this was the finest hotel experience I've ever had. My girlfriend and I stayed for the week of 11.2-11.8 and could not have been happier. The staff was unfailingly polite, approachable, convivial, and accommodating, even when I staggered down to the coffee shop one morning after not nearly enough sleep and just croaked 'coffee?' across the bar. The room was of exceptionally high quality, particularly the bed, which made my bed at home look like a bundle of twigs wrapped in a rag. The complimentary breakfast was discreetly delivered via a wire mesh basket hung on a hook beside the door and was waiting for us upon waking each morning - and for a complimentary breakfast, it was aces - a good croissant, a stick of good cheddar, an organic fruit bar, a bottle of good juice, and a lovely wee 1oz jar of preserves. That plus a cup or two of coffee (also complimentary) sustained me through multiple miles of street walking every day, and on our meandering back in the evening the exceptional Manon was invariably behind the bar, friendly and welcoming and ready to slide a nightcap or two my way and give me very useful feedback on my halting and labored quasi-French. The Uville is just about perfect. I'm a little sad I'm not still there. But I'll be back. Soon.

Had a lovely stay at Uville! All the employees were kind and welcoming, especially since I only know some basic French. They were happy to converse in English. The rooms were clean and themed well to incorporate the history of Montreal through the decades. The beds were comfy and housekeeping was great. Breakfast delivered to the room each morning was so nice. I wish this was a bonus at every hotel I stay at! Location is great and it’s only a short walk to the metro to go anywhere further. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone visiting Montreal!
